I think Sri Lanka should promote the tourist attractions in Southern Sri Lanka and attract seasonal charter foreign flights to HRI. There are many tourist attractions in Southern Sri Lanka e..g . Yala, Kathirkamam Arugambay etc are near Mattala. What do you think? At the same time Sri Lanka should open the schedule flights from Colombo urgently. Maldives is taking advantage of Sri Lanka restricting Sri Lankans and tourists arriving at Colombo. It's disappointing BA, KLM, Aeroflot doesn't fly to Colombo these days. Sri Lanka government should make an arrangement for promoting the tourism sector to get these mainline carriers back in Sri Lanka.Comment

Bringing tourists to HRI may be because, they are kept in beach hotels & resorts for quarantine. The major beach hotels are in southern & eastern coasts of Sri Lanka.
