    Hi all.
    I'll be on holiday in Sri Lanka and want to take photos airplanes at Bandaranaike airport.
    Can you tell me the points from where you can photograph airplanes?
    How do airport security feel about photographing airplanes?​

      Priviet! You can't go real close to the airport due to restricted areas, but you can spot from both ends of runway depending on the season you arrive

      For RWY 04 - 18th mile Junction and surrounding area or
      the Lagoon.

      For RWY22 - Middle Marker Beacon / The Warehouse / The Ground area is fine.

      For More information contact me or other fellow spotter based in CMB/VCBI via instergram or VK

      Also Please Keep in mind if you are using a DSLR/Mirroless Camera, keep a low profile.

          Air Asia bound to MAA is diverted to CMB. I see all flights to MAA is hold pattern. Any reason?

              Never seen a 777 operating on the AUH - CMB route in the recent past. There's a one today. What's happening?

                Good to know ! Must be increased pax demand if i am not mistaken? Also noticed MH started bringing A330-300 on some days.
