    Plane Spotting at Washington Dulles (KIAD)

    Spotting planes at Washington DC's International airport, even though it is much smaller than Kennedy in New York or Los Angeles International, it still receives a nice variety of planes. My favorite catch included one of Lufthansa's new 747-8i's which we are lucky enough to receive daily here in Washington!

        Wow!! nice shots! When did you fly to Tokyo? I believe you flew on SriLankan Airlines?

          ahhhhh thnks Banu !!!! I went on the 21st and came back on 27th .... Yeah i flew on UL 454 and came back on UL 455 my father works in Sri lankan airlines so i came with him ....

            Ok. Great!! How was the Passenger load factor on SriLankan's Tokyo flights ? How was the flying-experience on UL454/5 ? please tell about it.

              ahhhhh yes when it was going to Tokyo there was a less load it was an a340 4r adb but when coming I was supposed to come on the 25th so unfortunately 4r alj was to come but 4r alh came it was awesomely refurbished but we got inside and unfortunately we got offloaded and came back on the 27th ........ it was really disappointing though.... the experience was gud , yeah it was awesome also

                                You definately haven't missed the BA's A380 revenue flight. Eventually BA will start the first revenue flight on 15-Oct-2013 for LAX and flights operate by A380 to HKG starts on 15-Nov-2013, as per http://www.britishairways.com/. In July/August they are start taking deliveries after we can expect some of their A380s operating to short-haul for crew training notsure exactly when??

                                @SpookyFlyer - Do you know how many A380s BA is going to take from Airbus ?
