I apologize for the strange format of uploading on my photos. Not sure why, but it will not allow me to upload the full photos... it just gives me a broken image icon when i try to do it. I had to do the advanced upload which put them up in those small ways. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong? And great pictures from Banuthev, Haleef and Max. Love seeing those pics from Heathrow, Changi and Narita. I have some spotting pics from Heathrow in high quality on my father's camera. Have to see if I can get those to upload!

Posting photos in photo forum threads

Many new photography forum participants don’t know how to post, or embed, an image within a forum message. The process is quite simple and the method is similar for most forums. The image must first be uploaded to a server such as at an online photo hosting site.

To post an image, use its full URL

Click for larger version

Go to the image at a hosting service, right click it and open the Properties menus.

Next, highlight the full address (URL), copy the URL and then paste it into the subject area in a forum post. For the image to appear, you MUST include the .jpg extension.



Generally, you should get the URL from the image itself, not the address bar of a browser.

For example, below is the full URL to a thumbnail photo in the Digicamhelp Photo Galleries. One space has been added after the http: so you can see the how the text is supposed to appear (you wouldn’t normally add a space).

When the correct URL is posted in a thread, the image will appear.

This method is the most commonly used in photography forums, but not all forums use it. Some require code placed around the URL for the image such as: [img] URL [/img]



Note all forums require adding urls. Some let you upload them directly from your computer.

Some nice shots of departures from Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. This is the US Nation's capital's domestic airport, which also supports a few flights to Canada and Caribbean destinations. The airport cannot legally host aircraft any larger than Boeing 757s, although the 787 made a brief visit during its nation-wide tour. Here you can see a United Airlines Airbus A320-200, AirTran 717, and a US Airways Embraer 170.

British Airways Flight 107 from London Heathrow to Dubai (2011)

This is just a brief rundown of my experience aboard British Airways First Class. My flight was British Airways (Speedbird) Flight 107 from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB). That day's flight was operated by a Boeing 747-400, all of which are equiped with the new First Class seats. BA's Dubai service alternates sporadically between 777s and 747s, so I was lucky to catch a ride on the Queen of the Skies.



To my pleasant surprise, my Father and I were the only two people seated in First Class on that day's flight. We received the crew's full attention, and were treated as no less than royalty by British Airways' extremely friendly staff. I had a lovely chat with one of the flight attendants, who had coincidentally spent her honeymoon in Sri Lanka, and had returned with her family twice since. We had a pleasant discussion about all of her favorite places to visit, and how she hoped BA would restart their Colombo service, which became reality this year .



The flight departed 20 minutes late at around 1 pm, which is actually scheduled to leave Heathrow at 12:40 pm. We got airbourne, blasting off of Runway 27L, and made a sharp turn east through the clouds. As I had a late breakfast in the Terminal 5 British Airways lounge prior to departure, I had a light meal of tea and sandwiches, before taking advantage of the full flat seats and grabbing a few hours of sleep. I awoke as we crossed into Turkish air space, and enjoyed a glass of wine as the landscape passed by in the setting sun. We crossed over mountainous Eastern Turkey, before flying over the entirety of Iraq, sighting Baghdad in the last hints of daylight. We touched down in Dubai around 11:30 pm local time, getting a brief glimpse of Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL 228, an Airbus A330-200 (couldn't see the registration as it was dark and in the distance), departing back to Colombo. Overall, British Airways First Class was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend it. Dubai is also a fabulous place for spotting, and is full of eye candy and exotic airlines!

I was going through my computer today, and came across these old photographs I snapped at Seoul Incheon International Airport (RKSI) on my 2005 trip through Korea. A nice mix of planes can be seen, including Asiana Airlines planes in their old colours.

Awesome shots!! Probably this is OO-THD where HD looks like MO. OO-TMO is recorded under Ben Air Flight Academy, Piper PA-28-161 Warrior III. In 2006, Emirates SkyCargo ordered for 10 x B747-80Fs. Any Idea when will those B748Fs will be delivered to EK ? Source

BTW, for those who don't know EK Sky Cargo planes are registered in Belgium .. hence the OO registration

In July 2008, EK sold these 10 frames to Dubai Aerospace Enterprises and agreed to lease them back. In November 2011, DAE cancelled five of the 747-8 freighters and converted them to 777 Freighters
