Delays upto 1 hour can occur, if the arrivals are stacked, as happens often in SIN and KUL, and staggered departure can take about 30 minutes or more to reach the active - as happens quite often in MNL and BKK, all beyond the control of the airline
On-time is calculated based on the time the cabin door is closed and ready for departure, never mind if the push back takes 15 minutes and congestion all adds another 30 minutes or more .. and same for arrival. If the flight is 6 hours, if the plane is above destination in 6 hours, but ATC holds them for an hour .. still it is considered on time arrival.

Originally posted by Banuthev View PostFlight Connections are one of the big problem for GF loosing the business. Reportedly, GF is shrinking their services further from this month as Beirut 10 to 6 Weekly, Chennai 14 to 10 Weekly, Muscat 28 to 20 Weekly, Bangkok 7 to 6 Weekly, Frankfurt 12 to 7 Weekly, Khartoum 11 to 7 Weekly, Paris 9 to 7 Weekly, Manila 11 to 7 Weekly and Rome completely cancelled. Additionally GF cuts B787 order from 24 to 12/16. Didn't understand why GF went to order for more wide-bodies when their business is NOT stable.
