It appears to be 4R-ADE is not in service for last 28 days as per Flightradar24 is showing last movement of 4R-ADE was on 30-May-2013. I don't see any good reason why UL is giving upgrade to A340 for the one going leave the fleet before Dec 2015. I think all of the UL's A332s have been upgraded with new-biz except on 4R-ALD. It would be better if UL upgrade the twin engine 4R-ALD instead of upgrade the A340s.

So this is the reason why 4R-ADF was upgraded with the new biz seats, its MR's personal plane.
Anybody anybody know if there is any passenger demand for SriLankan Airlines to operate Colombo to Dar Es Salaam revenue route. I think there are so many Indians population live in Tanzania. Probably SriLankan Airlines can fly Colombo to Johannesburg via Dar Es Salaam. What do you think?

Emirates cancelling most of the flights due to runway maintanance. Will SriLankan Airlines flights be affected due to this reason ?

refurbishing the UL A340 (ADE/F/G) is good coz they are still gonna be there till like end of 2014 till early 2015 basically till the A333 are delivered...so mite as well refurbish them now instead of disappointing travelers with the old product offering. they shud refurbish 4R-ALD and 4R-ALG too.

I am not aware RJ going to terminate the CMB operations but Amadeus shows RJ increasing CMB flights from three to four weekly from 2 November 2013. New flight schedule going to be like below :

                        AMM - CMB - 13:30 - 00:15 - RJ194 - A321 - TU FR + 1 CMB ARR - ONESTOP
                        AMM - CMB - 21:25 - 08:10 - RJ194 - A321 - WE SU + 1 CMB ARR - ONESTOP

                        CMB - AMM - 03:05 - 09:30 - RJ195 - A321 - WE SA - ONESTOP
                        CMB - AMM - 11:00 - 17:40 - RJ195 - A321 - MO TH - ONESTOP

Does anybody know where RJ will take the technical stop on this AMM - CMB - AMM ?

What makes you say that? Pretty sure someone stated before that the route was low yielding. Merely filling up a plane with people doesn't equate to a high profit. Correct me if im wrong.

i agree.................UL will probably start off to Melbourne (MEL) with an A320 with a stop at Darwin (DRW) or Townsville(TSV)

why on earth would UL fly to MEL using an A320 and that too with stopover in Darwin. MEL is home to large srilankan expatriate community. as per the 2007 census if i'm not wrong there were 400,000 srilankans in melbourne alone. Australia is a great market for UL.
