So does a few other countries .. keeping a plane for the Pres ? too much
It would be better to keep a 320 or something like that .. or heck lease out a BBJ like the UK PM does .. occasionally ..
well, in reality, I think the idea is also to have a BIG plane, like a 340, so it looks "BIG"
I wonder how many passengers were put out by having one less aircraft available ?

I dont think Air asia will fly to colombo at the moment CMB-KUL - I think current there are 2 UL & 2 MH Daily basis.
Evan BA is not doing that good at the sector
216 seats 106 empty. almost 50%

i'm not stating that i'm 100% right, may be i'm wrong, but these are the obvious reasons that pop into my mind....

President Mahinda Rajapaksa returned to the island early this morning following a successful three-day state visit to Belarus. The President’s tour was the first by a Sri Lankan leader to Belarus.
At the discussions with the Belarus President and Prime Minister, President Rajapaksa stressed the importance of improving interaction and relations between the peoples of the two nations. Towards that end, President Rajapaksa suggested establishing direct flights between Sri Lanka and Belarus, which would help promote better people-to-people contact.

Do we have even sufficient passenger demand on this route?

6.) Nepal
7.) Palestine

Now Belarus - If he goes to Moon then will have direct link to promote better people to people contact......
