European flights are frequently flown at Maximum Take-off Weight. They are also flown on a re-dispatch flightplan (maximum payload/minimum fuel). Eastbound flights are often too heavy to re-dispatch. UL has reduced frequencies and downgraded capacity and can't make money on European routes. They have also lost cargo contracts including at least one that was profitable.
There is something very wrong with the UL business model if they can't make money with full aircraft.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this businessComment

Any idea why SriLankan reduced Beijing flights from 5 to 3 weekly and Shanghai flights from 5 to 4 weekly ? Is it because of shortage of wide-body aircraft and it seems to be 4R-ADA is not in service last few days if I'm not mistaken. Somebody confirm.Originally posted by Banuthev View PostComment
