  • More photos of the new A320 and its arrival ceremony (the aircraft looks impressive): http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...34859446563717

I really hope they order some more of these new 320s in addition to the upcoming 3 aircraft. Also note the A330 in the background in one of the photos. Is it being refurbished with the new IFE/Business seats? If not, does anyone know when they will be installed? They were originally meant to be installed from May 2011 onwards (hence my question).

            • Thanks Skyline and Shashanka for sharing the ADG pictures.

I have heard that 4R-ADG seat configuration is like 38J and 205Y. Can this be confirmed by anyone ?

@ Kflyer - Do you know when ADG will be flying out of LHR ? I have noticed that SriLankan A332s have stopped flying to LHR few weeks ago. When I went for planespotting on sunday morning (22-May) at LHR, UL506 was operated by 4R-ADC. Previously, UL506 flights on sundays were operated by some A332s.

                              • @ Lordvader - Yes, the A332 you saw in the CMB-Hanger is 4R-ALB, which is being refurbished with the flat-beds in the business class not sure about IFE ... According to the news that Max posted above, this aircraft (ALB) is going to be back in service by this July and it will be used for destinations mainly PVG where UL is looking upgrade the aircraft service.

@ CalgaryLankan - Its a good sign that minister is again mentioning that UL will fly to Toronto from October this year with a seven daily flights, stop over in LHR. Possibly UL will use its own aircraft to Toronto. However still its not very clear whether the stopover airport would be LGW or LHR. When I browse in A.net I found an interesting link about the new Canada-Sri Lanka Air-Bileteral agreement, which was released very recently : http://www.otc-cta.gc.ca/decision-ru...30801&lang=eng. On the agreement say AC will codeshare with UL.

I collected the above information from various sources like A.Net ...
