Heard that they will fix the cabin whenever A333 is required for the President's travel. It takes around a day, with security etc. Surely, they can't be so foolish and wasteful as to reserve an entire A333 at all times for use by the President, even when he is not flying? SriLankan Airlines has scheduled additional routes for its new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, starting 15JAN15. The A330-300 aircraft will serve Beijing on 3 of 4 weekly flights, and 2 of 4 weekly flights for Shanghai. Certain service operates via Mattala/Hambantota on outbound flights.

They are increasingly short of crew - 65+ Pilots have put in their notice. All going to EY/QR. That represents over 20% of the Pilots. These are all Sri Lankans - I guess they have no confidence in the way UL is being run.
Not sure what is happening in the Cabin Crew or Engineering but I suspect a lot of people are leaving.
No Expats are applying to UL - the word is out in the International Pilot Community about how UL has treated its Expat Pilots.
Expect this to occur more frequently in the coming months.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this businessComment
