However geographical location wise UL has benefit of optimum path to serve this if we are using right metal, better service & strategic fares.
not eyed but dominated...by EK, EY, QR and ET...all has capacity to dump extra seats if required

        • SriLankan Airlines introduces first Wi-Fi equipped A330-300

SriLankan Airlines has introduced its first aircraft equipped with both Internet and mobile connectivity, both of which are provided by OnAir.

A performance evaluation programme will now take place over a period of three months, during which the A330-300 will be deployed on a variety of routes to test the Internet OnAir and Mobile OnAir services. The carrier will also assess the demand for the service during this period before deciding on which route to permanently implement the connected aircraft.

“We are gearing-up SriLankan to meet the challenges and ever-growing demands of the global travel industry,” said SriLankan Airlines’ Chief Marketing Officer, G. T. Jeyaseelan. “Our new fleet is giving us the opportunity to introduce innovative products and services to enhance the passenger experience. Providing mobile phone and Internet connectivity is a very important element of our superior offering in a highly competitive market.”

Ian Dawkins, CEO of OnAir, commented: “We provide in-flight connectivity across the whole of Asia. Our unique network of roaming agreements and authorisations from national regulators means OnAir is the leading supplier in the region. We are delighted to be supporting SriLankan Airlines’ drive to break new ground in Sri Lankan aviation.” http://www.futuretravelexperience.co...pped-a330-300/

Thanks! How long does the aircraft have to be reserved before VVIP travel then?

JAL used to codeshare on Colombo route with the partnership with CX via SIN. I think UL should should bring competitive fare for the flights which they have been regularly utilised by the brandnew A333.

As far as I know these new A330s can’t be flown to London (or any other long distance) from Colombo with the max passenger capacity. -300 has higher passenger cap hence lower the range (if it’s full). Also -300 range is lower than -200.

They will have to find ways to do this until get the A350-900
