Emirates won't bail out Qantas: Clark
Dubai’s Emirates Airline has reportedly ruled out any financial bailout of its Australian alliance partner Qantas, which is appealing for its foreign ownership limit to be raised after recording huge losses.
But even if Qantas’ plea is successful, Emirates president Tim Clark told the Australian newspaper West Australian, he would not buy into the airline.
Clark said he "would watch [the situation] carefully" but Emirates did not have the "bottomless pit of cash" Virgin Australia's partner Etihad Airways had.
"So no, equity is not on the table,'' Clark said.
Last month Clark said "Emirates business model did not involve equity stakes in other airlines".
“If you then get involved in management of other entities, it does take your eye off the ball,” he said.

Thanks for the info. IMHO I think they should rip up the seating from the refurbed A343s and replace the seating in ALG to make all A332 seating consistent.

If its J cabin didn't get refurbished, it's still flying with the old cradle style J cabin.

If its a reupholstered ex BMI seat, then yes UL should replace these seats with the newer business class seats from their A343 fleet (as they're phased out).

This costs serious $$. The Weliamuna report details the current financial state of UL.
There may also be an issue where the leasing company may not allow any changes to the aircraft configuration - especially true if this aircraft is part of an identically configured fleet.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

SriLankan's fourth brand new A330-343E, 4R-ALO (MSN 1650) has came out with a test registration F-WWYO after completing most of it's body-assembly. In TLS, it has now been parked without any engines, wearing just a primer in fuselage and SriLankan tail C/S.

I guess it will take a crash before any action is taken - with the way things are being run that's just a matter of time imho.
