  • Yea i kinda knew that really was never gonna happen so fast.
However, Srilankan Airlines should try buy new or lease planes such that they do not overuse them and can free them up for expansion...

i highly doubt if Hainan is ready to serve colombo.no sign of commencing flights on 18th of next month.but they won't drop out this route as they have already appointed a country manager and they do have even an office in colombo.another thing i noticed is hainan is missing in the colombo airport wikipedia page.(but i don't count on wiki at all)

A multi religious ceremony was held at the Bandaranaike International Airport to invoke blessings on the first flight with members of the SriLankan’s senior management being present. Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Vladimir P Mikhaylov, was also present. One of the passengers at the boarding gates of UL 531, receiving a souvenir to mark the event

              • I got some information that UL is evaluating to move wet leased Twin Otters to dry lease with possible expansions. There seems to be demand for the air taxi service lately.

                            • So, what happened to the aircraft detained at CDG? still there?

By the way as per airline route; ZRH - LHR sector seems to be gone from the timetable.

It's 4R-ADA Still appears to be held up in CDG. UL506 of 24SEP diverted to pick up pax. Not very surprising because they did the same to some other airlines recently, but all of those were airlines known for a poor safety record. What surprised me is that this happened to UL.
