Good news and bad news, yes the A359 would be an eye brow raiser as it is the first time we are gonna see it operate to Colombo. But then this also means that we are bidding adieu to the mighty Airbus A340 and this too being Qatar they operate their behemoth A340-600 so it's gonna be a loss for the plane spotter around katunayake as it was the only quadjet in regular operations to Colombo.

No - lack of Pilots. Short 60 from what I have heard and there are Pilots leaving.

No. We will still see the A340. The only aircraft getting replaced is the Qatar A320 that flies on QR662 and QR663.

Definitely, it would be nice the private wing in Sri Lanka operating the international operations. What is stopping FitsAir to expand the operation to abroad ? They have flying rights from CAA to operate freighter flights to international destinations from Sri Lanka. So why not pax operations ?

That ATR72 was leased to Taiwan/Indonesia was a 70 seater aircraft perfect for operating destinations like Gan, Mangalore etc.

More talk - does anyone think anything will happen?

They have more than enough evidence from the Weliamuna Commission report to prosecute present and former management - but have done nothing but protect these people.
