Previously Srilankan done the direct order for 6 A330-300 with Airbus but SriLankan sold the planes to leasing company and leased back. Aircraft leasing company paid Airbus in full and SriLankan took the delivery of the aircraft and SriLankan have been paying lease in installments to lessor. I think UL have to do the same for those 4 A350-900 if the contract can't be terminated or altered.

SriLankan Airlines is increasing Hong Kong route once again to 5 flights per week. Kochi flights have been reduced from 13 weekly to Daily but operating A332 on the daily basis.

This is 100% Sri Lankan Corruption - no outsiders involved.
Investigation(s) going nowhere - no charges against anyone involved.
The only real question now is when does the UBS loan money run out.
Since the IMF has forbidden any further money coming from the GOSL - the Airline will be unable to operate once the money runs out.
This would have happened in April but they somehow managed to get a loan from UBS in Singapore.
TIP: I would recommend you read the report on Chinese influence in Sri Lanka published in the New York Times - you won't be reading very much about this in the local papers. CPC could halt fuel on credit to SriLankan from Wednesday: Chairman
SriLankan officials said their flight operations would be disrupted and many flights would have to be cancelled if the CPC maintains its hardline stance on the matter.
Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and Petroleum Resources Development Minister Arjuna Ranatunga are to meet and hope to come to a compromise after Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting.
