it's said in this unofficial article that pilots managed to land the plane successfully although the engines failed.
using an older aircraft for the flight is said to be the reason.

Highly doubt if they have enough pax to Kuwait.I got to know that they have a pretty decent load factor on DXB_KWI and KWI-DXB sectors.UL offers the cheapest fare between those two destinations as a full frill airline.This doesn't seem to be a good idea at all.Originally posted by Banuthev View PostComment

Lower your fare > The lower your yield > The more losses you make . The load factor in no way can determine the success of a route in the modern day. DXB-KWI is a highly saturated route with legacies such as Emirates and Kuwait as well as no frills such as FlyDubai, Air Arabia and Jazeera. It is a fair assumption that the yields would therefore be low.Originally posted by uthum View Post

Mihin to begin Manila flight
Mihin Lanka will launch direct flights to Manila from next January. The frequency will be three times a week.
An official from Mihin Lanka said they will start marketing this new route from the end of this month to stakeholders.
The budget airline is hoping to acquire an A330 aircraft to launch this operation. “We are looking at leasing an aircraft from SriLankan,” he said.
