4R-MRC left the SriLankan Airlines fleet last year.

I have heard that 4R-MRD & 4R-MRE are leaving SriLankan Airlines before the end of this year.

4R-ALS has been parked near the CMB hangar, since yesterday.

Maybe UL has to check the overall aircraft and give 4R- registration before giving paintwork. I guess CS-TFZ have to be parked outside the hangar until C-check complete for 4R-ALH right?

Spotted 4R-ALS today near the hangar. Still no livery. Probably heading to Indonesia for a paint job

The aircraft just finished the Hadj - that would have been the all Y high density interior.

Company documentation shows B42/Y288 configuration - this may have been installed in BRU.

No idea who owns the interior or what the present interior is.

Normally stickers are used instead of painting - it also depends on the agreement with the Aercap.

ABL looks in bad shape too, Any Idea if it would be returned in the near future?

Thankfully, I was lucky enough to not have flown any of my two recent sectors on them
I was assigned ABQ and ABR

I Got news from Sri Lankan and their going to open ticketing offices all over the island and 12th Galle office is going to open...
i dnt know what type of marketing strategy these people following, are they still in 19th century???

This is what happens when uneducated idiots with no common scene are running the show for UL.
This stupid move is going to basically increase UL's Operation Costs and overheads

Surprises me that they still haven't realized that many SriLankan's prefer to book online rather than wasting time at Offices and Agents

SriLankan Airlines had scrapped all routes to Europe except London, in a bid to cut losses and make it easier to find a partner.

It is not clear whether any new partner will choose to fly to Europe, which is competitive, and increase the fleet on the orders of the Cabinet.

The government is likely to take off some of the debt of the airline prior to a sale.

The airline had lost 163 billion rupees from 2009 to 2016, after Emirates exited as managing shareholder, after ex-President Mahinda Rajapaksa took personal offense at a Emirates management decision.

Under Emirates SriLankan Airlines operated with no help from tax payers.

An ongoing Presidential Commission is revealing gross mismanagement at the airline from 2006 to 2018.

SriLankan now has 13, A330 long haul aircraft and 14 A320/321 medium haul aircraft.

The airline cancelled a lease of four A350 long haul aircraft while incurring a penalty fee of 115 million dollars.

Mano Tittawella, consultant to the finance ministry said SriLankan had hired negotiators to convert remaining order of Airbus A350 aircraft into equipment more useful for its strategy. (Colombo/Oct/05/2018) economy next

i think 90-95% their bookings come through online or agent....
end of the day we have to pay for these from our pockets, what a shame

I just try to book ticket and site is not responding correctly

flydubai in the 2nd quarter of 2019 is moving Colombo flight operations from Dubai International (DXB) to Dubai al Maktoum (DWC), during Dubai International Airport’s runway maintenance project. From 16APR19 to 30MAY19, flydubai will be operating Colombo service from DWC.

We already have ticket office in Galle and all over the country including Wennapuwa, Vavuniya and so on. Also fyi only Colombo and Kandy belongs to UL and the rest are GSA. This makes easier for every Srilankan to make use of book now pay later option, Indemnity report submission, unaccompanied minor and some other services where you need to visit a office. If giving access to all over the country is a problem then you should change your mind.
