According to Air Service Agreement 2020, only Max 11 Total flights are allowed to operate between Australia and Sri Lanka. UL is currently flying 7 weekly to MEL and 3 weekly to SYD. From Jan23, UL is adding 1 frequency to SYD to make it 4 weekly. I believe Sri Lanka has to increase the regulated capacity with Australia to increase more flights over there.

Is UL doing well on SYD & MEL routes?

Per the CAA website (not sure if it is accurate or not) the air services agreement between Australia and Sri Lanka allows unlimited access, with the exception of four cities; Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. For these cities 14 flights in total are allowed, with a maximum of 7 per city. So it seems a 7/weekly to Sydney is possible.
