Thanks for the update.. How many DC10s in service ? Do they have plans for replacement aircraft for those DC10s which are going to be retired on 1st Dec 2013. I think 3rd B777-300 due in Feb 2014.

The plane looks lovely. But it's a shame that it took British Airways such a long time to aquire the A380, given that UK companies played a major role in developing the A380

According to USA Today, British Airways is set to operate their first revenue routes for the 787 beginning in September in October. As of right now, they are scheduled to operate these birds on their Toronto and Newark routes. Hopefully they will expand the routes elsewhere as well. BA has also put in an order for more A380s and 777-300ERs according to the source.

No such information about KU's MXP flight found in Amadeus. But Kuwait Airways is already flying to Rome so not sure it's a good idea they add second destination in Italy. Picked up from Airlineroute, Kuwait Airways to start new service on Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen – Sarajevo and Vienna , effective Aug/Sep 2013.

I flew on KU several times, I have noted KU has very low yeald on most of their flights. They need to do network restructuring and refleeting as soon as possible, to run on profit. According to reuters, KU aiming to get 10 x A359s, 15 x A320 Neos from 2019. In short-term-lease KU gets some A330 and A320 models from last quarter of 2013. Not sure about quantity of the A330s and A320 models?.

Kuwait Airways is in severe need of a fleet refurbishment, or atleast a cabin upgrade. I am pretty sure they have the lowest rating for service out of any of the Arab Gulf carriers. Even on the 777-200s (their newest aircraft), their business class is severely outdated. They still operate A300s on their Heathrow routes. The A310s and newer A320s are the mainstays on their routes throughout the Middle East and some Subcontinent routes. On the bright side, a Milano route by KU would be good for Sri Lankans in Milano, who probably got a bit disconnected by UL's suspension of flights to MXP.
